Christmas Recipes from Lebanon

  • 1 cup of rice powder
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of caraway powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon of anise seed powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon of cinnamon powder
  • 4 oz. of chopped pistachio
  • 10 cups of water

Boil the water in a saucepan.

Dilute the rice powder in a little cold water.

Pour into saucepan. Stir constantly, avoid making lumps. Add the spices and the sugar. Continue to stir on high until the mixture sticks to the spoon. Pour in small cups and leave to cool.

Decorate with walnuts and pistachio.
