---- Pastry ----

  • 400 g flour
  • 200 g powder sugar
  • 2 spoonfuls of honey
  • ½ teaspoon of soda bicarbonate
  • 3 eggs
  • Crushed cloves
  • Cinnamon

---- Sugar Icing ----

  • 1 egg white
  • powdered sugar

Pastry:
Mix all of the ingredients together well and let the dough sit over night. Then roll it out with a rolling pin to until the dough is about 2-3 mm in height.

Cut out different shapes from the dough using metal cookie cutters. Brush the cake surfaces with a whipped egg after placing them on a well greased cookie sheet.

Bake them in hot oven (350 degrees) for 20 minutes.

Sugar Icing:
Mix the egg white with enough powdered sugar to make a medium thick icing.

Decorate the golden colored honey-cakes with the sugar icing making different shapes or pictures on the cakes. Be creative.
