Pastry ----
- 1/2
lb cream cheese
- 1
stick butter
- 1
stick margarine
Allow
ingredients to stand at room
temperature until soft.
Mix
with 2 1/4 cup of flour and
knead just enough to smooth.
Form into two rectangular balls.
Let
stand in refrigerator overnight.
Filling:
Grind
fine, 3 cups of pecans moistened
with hot water. Mix in 1/2 cup
of sugar or more to taste. (Add
ground raisins if desired).
Roll out dough on board covered
with sifted powdered sugar.
Cut in squares. Place a teaspoon
of filling in each square and
roll. Be sure to seal the ends
carefully.
Bake
at 350 degrees for about 25
minutes.
